Brockish Memorial Scholarship
The Brockish Memorial Scholarship Fund was established in 2024 after Coach Brockish’s father, Ken, passed away in 2022. The scholarship is a one-time yearly award and goes to an AZ Pro player that demonstrates hard work, persistence, passion for the game and is a good teammate. Ken Brockish exhibited all of these characteristics as a dedicated Father and coach to young players. Living in rural Kansas, batting cages were not readily available so he purchased a pitching machine in 1981 and built a batting cage in our backyard for all players to use to practice their hitting. His dedication to myself as well as many other young players in our community was on display daily. Despite not having any formal training in the sport, he spent countless hours trying to help players improve in baseball as a coach for 10 years. He is deeply missed but his legacy lives on through the scholarship dedicated in his name.
